Today is a strange day. First of all, the Denver Rockies had their #@!? handed to them on a silver platter last night in game 1 of the baseball world series. Honestly, I’m not that into spectator sports, but this whirlwind is fun because the Rockies came from so far behind. Anyway, I had a few good Margaritas over the whole incident.
Secondly, I just learned about a new company called 3D Mailbox. Self described in a TechCrunch posting, 3D Mailbox is “Email meets flight sim. In Level 2 of 3D Mailbox, each of your emails is represented by a jumbo jet. Based on the country of origin/destination, over 80 national airlines are employed, along with thousands of real pilot-controller conversations. Cargo jets haul your attachments, and the integrated SpamBayes spam filter sends your junk to the airport boneyard.”
What?!?!?! I think these guys must either be bored trustfund developers with no job, or they’ve embedded some code that when you execute some macro, a guy shows up at your house within 24 hours with a bag of weed. Drug trafficking at its most creative.
What will they think of next?
